Animal By-products not Intended for Human Consumption
Animal by-products are defined as “entire bodies or parts of animals, products of animal origin or other products obtained from animals that are not intended for human consumption, including oocytes, embryos and semen”.
Animal by-products are generated primarily during the slaughter of animals for human consumption, in the production of products of animal origin, such as dairy products, and the disposal of dead animals or from the implementation of disease control measures.
