The Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition has received notification from the European Commission Services, via RASFF (Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed) of the existence of an illegally marketed instant coffee, brand name “Sta-Maxcoffee”, produced in Hong Kong and distributed in Belgium, which contains the ingredient Sildenafil thione, contained in certain medicines for the treatment of erectile dysfunction.
For the time being there is no evidence of the distribution of this product on a national level, as the suspect containers are being confiscated by the Belgian customs authorities.
