According to Article 32 of Regulation (EC) No 1333/2008, of the European Parliament and the Council of 16 December 2008, on food additives, all additives permitted before 20 January 2009 will be subject to a new risk assessment by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA). The programme for this re-evaluation of additives was approved via Commission Regulation (UE) No 257/2010, of 25 March 2010.

In order to ensure an effective re-evaluation, EFSA requests that all interested sectors send, via its web site, all available data, published or unpublished, relevant to the areas defined in this call.

All those interested in submitting data to be considered in the re-evaluation can send it to foodadditives@efsa.europa.eu. Hard copies can be sent to the postal address given by EFSA on their web site. The deadline for submitting data is 9 December 2010.

Data providers are also asked to send a further copy of the data to normativat@msps.es
