The call for entries for the 2010 edition of the IV NAOS Strategy Prizes has been announced, via a Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition resolution, published in B.O.E. This fourth edition shows the growing importance of the prizes which were awarded for the first time in 2007 and which generate applications from numerous quality projects promoting healthy eating and/or the practice of physical exercise in areas such as the family and local community, schools, businesses or the health service. It is hoped that the award of each prize will give publicity and public recognition to the initiatives judged by the panel to be the best for that year, thereby encouraging the continued development of programmes within the framework of the NAOS Strategy, and contributing to its objectives of fighting obesity.
