ENS students visit CNA14/05/2012

On 11 May, the National Food Centre (CNA) received a visit from 15 students of the module "Foundations of Food Safety and Hygiene” which forms part of the Diploma Course on Food, Nutrition and Public Health that they are following at the National School of Health (ENS).
The main activity of the ENS is postgraduate teaching and its training programmes are based on the research of staff from the school and other centres belonging to the Institute of Health Carlos III, enabling the immediate transfer of new advances and progress in Public Health action and practices.
The students visited the different areas of all the laboratories, receiving explications on the activities carried out in each one, and showed great interest in the different techniques employed at the CNA.
Royal Decree 709/2002, approving the Statutes of the Agency, directly assigns the CNA to the Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition, providing scientific and technical support and analytical laboratory control, acting as a reference laboratory in the cases established.
