StructureThe Agency has developed a basic structure to serve the objectives and functions assigned. It comprises a multidisciplinary team that includes pharmacists, veterinarians, physicians, biologists, agronomists, lawyers... A team of qualified professionals at the service of Food Safety and Nutrition capable of coordinating all the parties involved and under the direction of the Management Team.
Furthermore, in order to ensure the achievement of specific objectives, the Agency has three governing bodies, the President, the Board of Directors and the Executive Director as well as a number of coordination and advisory bodies that, on the one hand, coordinate with the various ministerial departments in their respective areas of expertise and with other Public Administrations and sectors, including consumer and user associations. In addition, the Agency also receives scientific advice. These coordination and advisory bodies are the Institutional Committee, the Advisory Council and the Scientific Committee.
