President

The President holds the highest institutional representation of the Agency at national and international events; he is the link between the regional body and the Ministry of Health and Social Policy and coordinates the different sections that comprise the Agency.

Executive Director

The legal representative of the Agency and the person who manages staff, services and activities developed.

Board of Directors

This is the governing body of the Agency. It's function is to ensure that the objectives assigned to the Agency as achieved and to exercise administrative authority over the same. Its members shall be persons of proven professional expertise in the fields relevant to the operation of the Agency.

Institutional Committee

This is the body of the Agency responsible for establishing effective coordination and cooperation mechanisms between Public Authorities with responsibilities in food safety. It will, therefore, exercise inter-regional and inter-departmental coordination functions within the Agency's scope of action.

Advisory Council

This is the body that actively participates in food safety issues. It comprises representatives from consumer organisations and from professional and social organisations directly or indirectly linked to food safety.

Scientific Committee

This body provides the Agency with scientific reports on food safety, it defines the scope of the research work required for the Agency to operate and coordinates the work of teams of expert that carry out risk assessment tasks within the context of Agency's activities.
